Today is the day we honor our workforce, everyone who works to keep America going!  Labor Day became a federal holiday in 1894 and is always celebrated the first Monday in September.  Unfortunately some of you may have to work or be on call today– Thank you!  Hopefully the rest of you can kick back and enjoy your family or a favorite hobby.

Today is also often considered the “unofficial” end of summer.  It might be a day to enjoy those last rays of sunshine and have a picnic outdoors.  Or a day to clean up the patio to prepare for fall and winter.  Or clean out things to get ready for a yard sale or get the kids organized for school.  No matter what you do today– have a fun and safe holiday!
